Van Fish Industry Limited is a premier tuna fishing company based in Port Vila, Vanuatu. We operate extensively across the rich waters of Vanuatu. We own a fleet of two vessels in Port Vila. Our dedicated team includes 3 captains, 40 crew members, and a shore-based management team comprising a Fishing Master and a permanent processing/export team.
Our fishery operations are part of the Vanuatu National Fisheries Program, which is managed by the Vanuatu Fisheries Department. The Vanuatu Fisheries Department is responsible for the efficient management and sustainable use of Vanuatu’s fisheries resources, ensuring that we adhere to the highest standards of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Yellowfin tuna are a member of the family Scombridae. These heavy-bodied fish are recognised by their bright yellow dorsal and anal fins and finlets. They have a dark blue back and a vivid broad golden yellow stripe that runs from eye to tail. They also have moderately long pectoral fins. Adult yellowfin are opportunistic carnivores that feed on squid, skipjack tuna, smaller yellowfin tuna, mackerel, pilchards and pelagic crabs
